The Backpacker Hostal, Ecuador - Polarsteps

Nov. 11, 2022 - Ibarra, Peru - Ibarra was founded in 1606, and has a population of around 140,000. Ibarra still has a lot of very old architecture, including some classic churches. This is a pretty town with lots to see. I met a man, Adrien, from France, here at the hostel and we talked quite a lot, then the next morning he left to explore the town, and after a while, I left to explore, also. When I was at the top of a hill with a view of the entire city he was also there. We talked and took pics and shared contact info. Almost every day on my journey I have met at least one other English-speaking person.
