Atbasarskiy, Kazakhstan - Polarsteps
It's difficult to tell what's a store or a cafe, fortunately we can read Russian. Merijn had his first flat tire and we still know how to fix it! The distances are long, and the amenities are scarce. If we plan to make stops for tea every 100km or so it's not even sure we can find something. Petrol stations are mostly not more than some pumps and someone in a closed off cabine to whom you first need to pay for the amount of liters you want. A simple "full" doesn't work here. Fortunately we also know how to count in Russian!
