Kapan, Armenia - Polarsteps

Decided to hang around another day to do some laundry, write on the blog and just because we feel at home. We enjoy the company of Janec, Eva and Tom. Had dinner together again and made some music in the evening. We visited the memorial site which are actually four memorials. One for the great patriotic war, one for the genocide in 1915 by the Ottomans. One for the Nagorno-karabach conflict, which is still active despite the cease fire of 1994, where there was also some space left..... And one for the victims of an earthquake in 1988 which left 45.000 casualties. It's a beautiful but tormented and very poor country. Looking forward to learn more.
