Stewart, Canada - Polarsteps

English Follow- Puis nous décidons de continuer la route qui devient un chemin puis un chemin de montagne type 4x4. C'est compliqué avec le bus. Ça monte, ça monte beaucoup, le bus se met à chauffer. Nous faisons une pause, prenons un café puis tentons de remonter, nous répétons l'opération jusqu'à 5 kilomètres avant d'arriver au glacier. Le bus chauffe trop, nous décidons de faire demi-tour et d'abandonner le glacier ! À peine notre demi-tour entamé et prêt à redescendre, nous voyons arriver au loin Loïc et Cécilia qui, avec leur Iveco 4X4 , monte tranquillement. Ils ont l'extrême gentillesse de nous proposer de monter jusqu'au glacier. Quelle chance nous avons eu de tomber sur eux ! La vue est juste magnifique là haut. C'est à couper le souffle. le glacier est simplement impressionnant. Loïc et Cécilia décide de rester dormir sur place nous entamons donc un retour en pouce sur le bord de la route. Pas moins d'une minute après notre départ, un couple d'américain du Michigan nous cueillent sur le bord de la route. Ils ont la soixantaine et voyagent depuis 30 ans ensemble en backpacker. Nous passons un très bon moment à leur côté jusqu'à retrouver notre bus. Puis nous descendrons jusqu'à Stewart. À la frontière canadienne, contrôle des papiers pour entrer sur le territoire ! Nous patientons un peu, puis lorsque la garde revient, elle nous apprend que Liana est la première Malgache du monde à s'être rendue ici à Hyder ! C'est juste assez fou de se dire cela ! Elle a exploré une partie du monde qu'aucun membre de la communauté malgache ne l'a fait auparavant ! Nous dormions le soir à Stewart en faisant le plein de l'eau à notre disposition d'une qualité remarquable ! ----------------------- Then we decide to continue the road which becomes a road and then a mountain path type 4x4. The bus gets too hot, we decide to turn around and abandon the glacier! As soon as our U-turn started and ready to go down, we see Loïc and Cécilia, who, with their Iveco 4X4 , climb up quietly. They are extremely kind to ask us to go up to the glacier. How lucky we were to find them! The view is just beautiful up there. It’s breathtaking. the glacier is just awesome. Loïc and Cécilia decide to stay overnight on the spot so we start a return in thumbs on the side of the road. No less than a minute after our departure, an American couple from Michigan pick us up on the side of the road. They are in their sixties and have been travelling together in backpacker for 30 years. We have a great time with them until we find our bus. Then we will go down to Stewart. At the Canadian border, check the papers to enter the territory! We wait a little, then when the guard comes back, she tells us that Liana is the first Malagasy in the world to have come here to Hyder! It’s just crazy enough to say that! She explored a part of the world that no member of the Malagasy community has done before! We slept in the evening in Stewart filling up the water at our disposal of a remarkable quality!
