Akaroa, New Zealand - Polarsteps

Christchurch - Akaroa New Zealand, travel day 102 So, we picked up the van! Yikes! That was around 10:30 so we had plenty of time to sleep. At the office of Travellers Autobarn they had everything ready and our check in was very smooth, in almost no time we were driving. First stop? Supermarket, in this case in a bigger mall. Here we loaded the van with stuff. A heater for the cold times, a couple of raincoats, some new trousers and foooood, lots of food. All that made our morning so we ate something quick and headed to another shop, this time to get a hard drive for my pictures. Our destination for the day was Akaroa, about 1:30h drive through a scenic route, and as soon as we left Christchurch and enter the countryside we saw that. First the road, amazing through the mountains, kind is snake it was lovely. Reaching Akaroa it was even more beautiful with the view to the bay. The second ingredient for this scenic route are the Autumn colors, wonderful yellows and reds along the road, everything looks like a postcard here. On arrival we looked for a camping place, there's no much we found our spot, and then we walked around the town. Not much afterwards we went to sleep.
