Wellington, New Zealand - Polarsteps
Marahau - Abel Tasman National Park Walk - Picton - Owhiro Bay (Wellington)
New Zealand, travel day 132
It's been a long time I hadn't woke up for sunrise, I did this morning and walked at the shore, didn't really find the spot without walking further so I sent the drone up, later I realised it was forbidden by the doc.
After that we went through our morning routine, breakfast, shower and go.
Then we walk for about 4h onto the Abel Tasman National Park, and on the way we decided what to do next as well as enjoy the view and the walk. I know now that on my way back on will do the 4 day hike here in the park, but our days are running out and we decided to go north.
Around lunch we purchased the ferry ticket for later in the day and drove all the way to Picton.
3h drive in which I got bored, the road seemed like a highway not many turns but the scenery was, as usual, stunning.
Once we arrived at Picton, since we were a bit earlier, we walked around and finally check in for the ferry.
This ferry took us about 3h, and left us in Wellington at 22:30, then we started our quest to find a camping, we hadn't reserved anything and expected to do free camping, however both free camping areas were full, Clara and I got a bit fuzzy about that but in the end we camped where we shouldn't we had no other choice or drive for about 35 more min into a camping of 3 vechiles only, so we stay.
