Auckland, New Zealand - Polarsteps

Piha - Auckland New Zealand, travel day 145 I woke up early and headed straight to the beach, I was expecting some surfers but I didn’t see any, instead a couple fishermen on the distance. The beach it’s beautiful with that giant rock called Lion Rock in the middle, I can imagine this is the paradise place for people living in Auckland during the summer months. Took the drone for a spin and headed back to pack everything, yes everything. Today we are dropping off the van, sadly we have to say to goodbye, but it has served us very well, 7.290 km of New Zealand awesomeness! Can’t believe we’ve driven so much, and really made us felt home every time we returned from a hike or simply a walk. Packing and cleaning took us about 2 hours, and then heading to the hotel for check in. We have been upgraded and we got a superb apartment in CBD, things couldn’t be better. After dropping all our stuff at the apartment we then left the van and back for lunch. In the later afternoon we were somehow tired but headed out for a walk, nice vibe around here although much different than the country side, we stayed until dark, went to the super market and back home for dinner.
