Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France - Polarsteps

Chamonix - Planpraz - Col du Brévent Waking up slow here, I kinda feel I'm missing out but I'm too tired in the morning to go out for sunrise at 5:35 am. Instead, I worked on the pictures of yesterday, that took me until lunch, and then we headed out to Planpraz ski lift. Up there, we continue walking towards Brévent, really nice and steep trail with the whole Mont Blanc Valley and Massif in front. Soon we saw some Ibex coming down the mountains, really cool to see these animals in their natural habitat. Continuing up we reached Col du Brévent at 2368m, in here we could see some mountains of the other side, spectacular views so far. In here we also walked on snow, and it looked no issue, however, no more than a couple hundred meters up we had two options, walking up the ridge, or continue on snow, both were very exposed and we didn't have any rope or crampons, after doubting if taking the risk we decided to go back, too risky. In fact, an hour late an important thunderstorm came out of nowhere and some rain with it, so we start the descent rapidly, we got very wet though, rain was in and out, but we decided to really head down to Chamonix. Since the whole mountain range was covered by clouds. This trail down was a bit too much, in z shape, very steep down through pine green forest was a painful thing for the knees, and we all three finished a bit tired. Just when we arrived down and finished the trail, the whole Mont Blanc Massif started to light up with the sunset, that was epic! And I kinda regretted having head down but I had a nice view and ended up happy with the light.
