Reunion Day 13
Since whale watching seemed to be easy the previous days, I woke up at 5:15 and headed to the Hermitage beach to try seen them again for sunrise.
It was more difficult, or at least I needed a couple of drone batteries. But in the end, got them in the frame. I can't express how happy I am. I wish I knew before and I would have booked a tour.
After that, we headed to the well know local market in Saint-Paul. It was crowded but not too bad. The boys bought some stuff, I simply enjoyed the visit.
Done with errands, we drove all the way to Cilaos for our last mountain hike, Piton Des Neiges.
We ate in the village and starting hiking. This route was good, we felt great and I'm fact did in a shorter time. The route is also difficult, 4.2km long with 1.1km ascension, a vertical kilometer some say.
It was hot and humid and we were sweating a lot.
In any case, we arrived at the mountain hut before expected and had some time to see around. Not only that but you prepare for tomorrow's sunrise at Piton Des Neiges, about 1h 30min long before sunrise.
