Pian Falzarego, Italy - Polarsteps

Going up the hill, enjoying the view we reach the top of Passo Falzarego at 2055 m. elevation. It has amazing stone chapel and inside colorful saints paintings. The day was sunny, but the melting snow brought a breath of fresh air. According to the legend the name Falza Rego means false king in ladin and refers to a king of the Fanes, who was supposedly turned to stone for betraying his people.
