Daytona Beach, United States - Polarsteps

Daytona International Speedway is the home of Nascar races since it opened its doors roughly 60 years ago. The oval shape race circuit is used for the Daytona 500 (800km race distance), the 24 hours of Daytona and motocross. Because of the oval shape, there are only 4 left turns. This is often the subject of Nascar related jokes. “Ow look, they are making a left turnnnn”. My original plan was to drive around in a Nascar race car, but since the motocross was today, I bought the track access on top of the general admission, so I was able to walk on the race track as well and take photos from up close. Definitely worth it!
