Here we discovered the black sand beaches of Muriwai! The sand is black due to an excess amount of iron which washes ashore from volcanic activity!
We kiteboarded and had dinner and tea at a local's house, which over looked a national park. Brian invited us over after knowing us for only ten minutes! New Zealanders are extremely kind.
