Just after 11pm, on Dec 26th, we arrived at our next airbnb, located south of Fox river. It use be old hippy commune. We were greeted with hot tea, homemade date cake and great stories about the area. After our cake and tea Derek went for a walk and stumbled across a couple dozen glow worms in an open barn!
We left early the next morning and stopped in Punakaiki to check out the pancake rocks!
