Bajo Caracoles, Argentina - Polarsteps
We got up at 5:30 in the morning to ride as far as possible towards the next bigger town. It funnily seems like we are often being punished for getting up very early. After the first 20 km, Laura had a flat tire again. We fixed it, but we still had around 100 km ahead of us to make it to the next village Bajo Caracoles. The ride included the longest straight road we've ever ridden on (~60 km straight) which was rather boring. We arrived in Bajo Caracoles in the afternoon and had some cheese sandwiches at the only local shop/restaurant. We were still motivated to keep going afterwards, but Antonia felt a little pain in her leg, so we decided to stop for the day. Again, the road worker station offered us a place to put up our tent 😊
