Cisnes, Chile - Polarsteps
After a beautiful ride on the Carretera Austral, we made it to rainy Puyuhuapi. Who would've thought that it would turn into our temporary home for 12 days....
The morning after we arrived, Antonia woke up with a sore throat and the odyssey started: It quickly turned out she was suffering from tonsillitis (Mandelentzündung) which made it impossible for us to continue! Luckily, the local health center in Puyuhuapi provided her with meds and even an injection for a quick recovery. While Antonia spent most of the time in her tent at our sheltered campsite, Laura started making friends with people from the village and discovered the surroundings of Puyuhuapi. It has been mentally very challenging not being able to continue, but we are still very certain that our health should always come first.
Meanwhile, we have been able to move forward with our fundraising campaign for World Bicycle Relief. We have raised almost 9000 €, meaning 61 bikes. Every donations helps us to reach our goal of providing 100 bicycles. Thank you so much 😊 we are excited to be back on the road soon!
