San José de Jáchal, Argentina - Polarsteps
After an awful night, we both woke up early quite exhausted and knowing we desperately needed a rest day! Dogs were barking all night, our tent was pitched between two busy roads with people celebrating and the tip of the iceberg was that Toni's sleeping mat had a puncture in the middle of the night. We rode 24 km to the next village and treated ourselves to a hotel room where we mostly slept and ate. It was a struggle to find some food, but Laura somehow managed to. In the evening, we also discovered Grido ice-cream (chocolate baths are heaven!)
