Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia - Polarsteps

Today we took the train to Yogyakarta. The station in Bandung was very organized and we could print out our tickets ourselves. We then got on the train where we met a Dutch girl who was sitting in front of us. She was finalizing her internship for the PABO at the Dutch school in Surabaya. We where able exchange our experience in Atlanta and of course mentioned that Jeannine was a founder of the school. The three of us where the only none locals on the train. The train left on time 8:35 and we spend the next 7,5 H on the train. I very much appreciated taking the train and not a plane for a change. The trains are fairly comfortable especially in Eksekutif class as they call it here. Interesting that besides carting they also have on board cleaning while driving. Also a movie was showing. Of course the real movie was the landscape outside. At least for me. I am not sure about Raoul as I asked him what he found of the landscape. He said that he had already seen 4H of rice fields. However I am sure he will remember this in 10 years time and have a different reflection on this. We arrived 5 min ahead of schedule in Yogja. There a driver from the hotel was already waiting for us. We had a quick dip in the pool and will have dinner shortly. Tomorrow we have an early start , 4 AM pick for the Borobudur. I have never visited myself so very much looking forward to that.
