Nouadhibou, Mauritania - Polarsteps

It’s been very windy the last couple of days. I do welcome it though as is quite a bit hotter in this part of the desert. It is a bit of a challenge to find wind protected camping spots though. Sometimes it’s not more than a little hill or a small bush to protect my tent from blowing away. Those nights I don’t get the best of sleep. Water sources are still very spread out, so days are still long with around 50 km. I always carry enough water to get comfortably through 2 days. I am looking forward to more civilization though, carrying 8 liters of water is pretty hard on my back and my legs.
