Ayios Dhometios, Cyprus - Polarsteps

It’s been a rough ferry ride to Cyprus. The ferry left at 23:30 and was supposed to arrive at 05:30 in the morning. Normally I buy a cabin when I’m on a ferry overnight, but I was a bit in a rush when buying the ticket as I only bought it a couple hours before the ferry left, so I totally forgot. I could lie down over two seats but I didn’t get much sleep that night. There were quite a few snorers and the room was damp and hot. We arrived around 4 hours late at the port in Cyprus. Then it took another two hours to get all the needed documents. First immigration, then PCR Covid test, then car insurance and car registration. I was quite exhausted when I finally got all the paperwork done. I need to remember that country crossings outside of Europe do take some more time and effort.
