Lubbock, United States - Polarsteps

a 270 mile trip today to Lubbock, birthplace of Buddy Holley. At the age of 22 died in a plane crash, but according to the Buddy Holley Centre, was a great inspiration for the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Hollies and Bob Dylan , just to mention a few. The silent wings museum is a real eye opener. Apparently engineless planes were used in the Second World War to drop soldiers and machinery behind enemies lines in both Birma and France. But now we are in the Office grill and bar, enjoying a Budweiser!
