Lieksa, Finland - Polarsteps

After our visit to Koli we continued our route to Patvinsuo National Park to set up camp for the night. We arrived around 5 and noticed that there were a few hiking trails leaving from where we parked. There was such a huge contrast to Koli and here. This was a flat marsh. So no climbing, just miles and miles of duckboard. While we walked the sun started getting closer to the horizon giving the most amazing light. We came back with big smiles on our faces. We made a fire in the fire pit (hurray for the amazing free!!!! facilities of Finland’s national parks) and had a lovely dinner while the sun set across the lake.
