Moalboal, Philippines - Polarsteps
Went snorkeling at Moalboal’s world famous ‘sardine run’ with a Croatian girl I met at a restaurant. The sardine run is a giant school of millions (!) of sardines that live at a reef off the Moalboal coast. They seem to be dancing in some of the most amazing shapes as you dive through. There are so many of them that it literally gets dark when swimming within the school, and you loose your orientation of what’s top and what’s bottom. Incredibly impressive natural phenomenon, liked it so much that we went for a second time the next day.
As if that wasn’t enough, also made a stunning dive at Pescador Island. Great last days of my trip, ready to head home now!
