Yesterday Bob and I hitchhiked from Bukhara to Samarkand (270km). The bikes were loaded in a truck. Bob hopped in the Kamaz that was carrying our bikes and I drove with 3 locals/weirdos in some sort of taxi. For the last bit (into town) we were picked up by the hostel owner who simply put Bob's bike in the back of his car. Now Samarkand!
