Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia - Polarsteps

Angkor Wat, the biggest temple complex of the world and the main attraction in Siem Reap. Everyday, thousands of tourists show up around 6AM to see the sunrise above it. On the 7th of April, I was one of these tourists. I originally planned on hiring a bike and doing the three-day temple tour. I had planned it all out, when I met a Chinese girl in the hotel that asked me to join her in the tuc tuc she had arranged. She had already paid for it and she said I could just join her, because she was a little bit afraid to go alone. As I am traveling on a budget and since it's nice to sometimes have to company, I decided to join her. After only one day, we had already seen all the "main" temples. The following two days we would only visit the small ones that were left. It was a long and very exhausting day, but it is very nice to have seen it. I cannot even imagine what it must have looked like when it was just build.. Simply beautiful!
