Santa Colomba De Somoza, Spain - Polarsteps

Es geht wieder in die Berge! Heute sind wir von Astorga teils seicht, teils steiler auf steinigen Pfaden auf ~1400m aufgestiegen. Zur Abwechslung ging es mal nicht permanent an der Straße entlang, sondern großteils durch die Heide. Der Ort Foncebadón war bis vor 20 Jahren nur eine Ruine, besteht quasi nur aus Hergerben inklusive Restaurant und zählt auch jetzt nur 13 Einwohner. Morgen brechen die letzten zehn Lauftage an und wir fangen an den Countdown zu zählen. We are back in the mountains again! Today we climbed up about 1400m on sometimes flat, sometimes steep and stony paths. By way of variety we didn’t walked on the road all day long but through heather most of the time. The village Foncebadón was a ruin until 20 years ago and nowadays it’s just made of albergues and restaurants. There are just 13 inhabitants. Tomorrow the last ten walking days begin and we’ll start the countdown.
