Lima, Peru - Polarsteps

Finallly back at Karla's place! This morning we all were still in Chimbote, doing the final prep and checking out of the hotel! On our way to Vesique beach, one of papa Carlos his favorite places to be. Keep in mind that winter just started but we had the best weather ever and nobody was at the beach (cause winter...). The basket was filled with flowers, sprinkled with his favorite rum and in the end all who wanted could put some of his ashes in. When the moment was right most of his children and his wife went into to water, while the rest waited on the beach and said their final goodbyes. After that it was time for lunch. For me? Ceviche of course and Emma had her first couple of bites! Then it was time for the long trip back with me driving up coming into Lima, leaving the rest for Jose Carlos.
