Nanaimo, Canada - Polarsteps

Torrential rain, bad headwinds, lots of hills, heavy truck traffic in Parksville and Nanaimo. Packed up a soaking tent in the morning, got super wet over the course of the day, didn't stop much because the only way to stay warm was to keep biking. Called in the emergency motel fund to have a hot shower and a dry place to rest our sore legs. This is the only photo we took (early in the day, when spirits were still high). Carrying on, making plans to get better dry-bags, looking forward to future sunny riding days. Total mileage: 121km ~Sara
