Khaybar, Saudi Arabia - Polarsteps

Des pétroglyphes, y'en a un peu partout en Arabie Saoudite, c'est clair. Mais là ce site là, c'est la mecque du Pétroglyphe de par l'ampleur du site, des centaines de dessins, des originalités... y'a même un guépard (3ème photo). Etonnant, surprenant ! C'est classé Unesco mais pour l'nstant le site immense est clôturé, fermé. Il peuvent pas être partout les saoudiens. Faut trouver le fermier du coin qui a son troupeau de camels à l'intérieur du site (la seule ferme dans les parages, on arrive à la repérer). Donc, lui, il a la clef du cadenas. Faut négocier un peu le prix, on a tenu bon pour 10 € un tour d'une heure dans son 4x4... But this site is the mecca of petroglyphs because of the size of the site, hundreds of drawings, originality... there is even a cheetah (3rd photo). Amazing, surprising ! It is classified Unesco but for the moment the immense site is fenced, closed. The Saudis can't be everywhere. You have to find the local farmer who has his herd of camels inside the site (the only farm in the area, we manage to spot it). So he has the key to the lock. You have to negotiate the price a bit, we held out for 10 € for a one hour ride in his 4x4... The access by the western track is a bit long...
