La première route asphaltée reliant 2 villes d'Oman a été terminée en... 1973. Autrement dit, ils ont plus d'expérience en pistes qu'en goudron 🤪 enfin surtout les chameaux ! Des bonnes routes y'en a maintenant partout, mais des bonnes pistes aussi. A croire que chaque hameau possède son bulldozer, près à surgir à la moindre attaque du ciel, éboulements ou crues soudaines qui viendraient abîmer leurs pistes ! Un vrai bonheur d'Offroad 😍 ℹ️ Une petite piste sur la carte, faut pas hésiter, au pire des cas se renseigner auprès d'une chèvre qui traine dans les parages ! En grosse montagne, vaut mieux un 4x4 car les pentes peuvent parfois jouer au 30% sans soucis ! In other words, they have more experience of tracks than tarmac 🤪 well, especially camels! There are good roads everywhere now, but good tracks too. It's almost as if every hamlet has its own bulldozer, ready to spring up at the slightest attack from the sky, rockslides or flash floods that might damage their tracks! Offroad fun 😍 ℹ️ If you see a small track on the map, don't hesitate, and in the worst case, ask a goat that happens to be hanging around! In the big mountains, you're better off with a 4x4, as the slopes can sometimes be as steep as 30% without any problems! And always check the weather forecast, as thunderstorms can be devastating!
