Un petit spa ? Se bacquer dans l'eau à 38° dans la nature tout en attendant le gazouillis des oiseaux et le clapotis de l'eau toute proche ? En étant immergé voir passer des ânes et des chèvres et entendre le bêlement d'un mouton au loin ? Fermer les yeux puis les ouvrir pour voir palmiers et montagnes ? Ça aurait pu être cela... du moins on peut arriver à l'approcher si on a la possibilité d'y aller hors week-end et hors vacances. Sinon, à 1h de la capitale, l'on peut aussi comprendre que c'est bien blindé par des instants familiaux ou entre copains autour d'un piknik. Bathing in 38°C water in the great outdoors, while listening to the birds chirping and the water lapping nearby? While submerged, watch donkeys and goats go by and hear the bleating of a sheep in the distance? Closing your eyes and then opening them to see palm trees and mountains? That could have been it... at least you can get close to it if you can get there at weekends and when you're not on holiday. Otherwise, just 1 hour from the capital, it's easy to see why it's so busy with family get-togethers or friends over a piknik. On the other side of the river, a family with ancestral customs clings to its life in their decrepit hamlet, looking on wearily and disdainfully at this nascent and unorganised leisure tourism, from which it profits nothing. ℹ️ Easy to get to, to soak up the local life, prefer the small road that crosses the palm grove.
