Jusqu'à quand dureront ces traditions de pêche et cette façon de vivre ? Difficile à dire mais le gouvernement investit sur un grand territoire (Duqm) avec transformation du port international cale sèche en port commercial + création d'un grand port de pêche... une ville de quelques dizaines de milliers d'habitants pointe son nez. Lorient en France et la Norvège aide à cette évolution et prennent des parts dans la société portuaire en construction. Il est prévu qu'un avion portera à Lorient des poissons d'Oman 😳. No comment. Duqm port, idéalement bien placé géographiquement va devenir un incontournable commercial de toute cette immense zone, point d'entrée et de transit des produits vers le Canal de Suez, l'Afrique, le Moyen Orient, l'Inde... It's hard to say, but the government is investing in a large area (Duqm), transforming the international dry dock into a commercial port + creating a large fishing port... a city of several tens of thousands of inhabitants is on the horizon. Lorient in France and Norway helped this development and took shares in the port company under construction. A plane is due to bring fish from Oman to Lorient 😳. No comment. Duqm port, ideally placed geographically, is set to become a key commercial hub for the whole of this immense area, an entry and transit point for products bound for the Suez Canal, Africa, the Middle East, India... The road infrastructure to Salalah, Muscat and Dubai is currently being improved, even going as far as the creation of a Duqm - Ryadh road that will cross the great desert of the Empty Quarter (we have seen sketches of this on both sides of the 2 countries).
