Originalité de ce lieu, une équipe de 6 jeunes en workaway (petit travail moyennant lit et nourriture) occupent aussi les lieux et sont chargés de l'animation sur place et sur les réseaux sociaux. Même si les animations ne sont pas d'un grand professionnalisme (volley ball sur la plage à 5mn à pied, sorties nautiques, Karaoké digne de la Star'SonFaux, soirée jeux inorganisé, quiz de niveau universitaire...), le tout forme un dynamisme qui a l'avantage d'attirer des personnes de l'extérieur, transformant ainsi Diani backpackers en seule zone locale vivante en basse saison. En profitant en plus de ce joli cadre et de cette belle piscine à 28°, nous sommes plutôt bien tombés ! Intuition quand tu nous tiens ! 🤪 Nous retrouvons enfin Christian qui aura attendu quasi une semaine pour la libération de son véhicule à Mombasa... le temps et l'Afrique... Nous en attendant, nous prenons des coups de soleil 😜 malgré la saison des pluies qui semble épargnée notre secteur. Béni soit-on, le reste du Kenya subit des pluies d'une rare intensité, glissements de terrain et coulées de boue, barrage qui cède, grosses inondations, plus de 150 000 personnes déplacées et 300 morts... 😥 Christian nous ramène le produit pour mieux isoler le toit. Merdum besoin d'un compresseur. Direction l'école polytechnique... matériel africain, compresseur toussotant, tuyau d'air réparé avec lanières de chambre à air. Malgré leur bonne volonté, en 3h nous n'arriverons pas a un essai concluant, le pistolet n'étant pas adapté. A priori pas besoin de chercher un autre pistolet à peinture digne de ce nom dans les parages 😥. Solution : aller chercher un bon mastic type Sika sur Mombasa et progressivement chercher la fuite en "Sikatrisant" par zone. Avec un temps de séchage de 24h avant test, forcément les jours défilent et dans quelques jours cela fera bientôt un mois que nous sommes au Kenya. Le temps et l'Afrique... Tout voyage prend du temps et il faut savoir prendre du temps pour aller au bout... Fuite trouvée, réparée, et grâce à un bon contact, nous en profitons aussi pour changer nos courroies dans un chemin local. Mis à part les vidanges programmées sur Mombasa, quand nous nous extrairons du coin, la suite de la mécanique sera pour Nairobi, surveillance, entretien, maintenance... Ça suffit un peu maintenant, il est temps de partir à la découverte du vrai Kenya non ? And with the lovely setting and the 28°C swimming pool, we've come to the right place!
