Un tout jeune berger pas encore pubère et en guenille voudra coucher la nuit au pied du camion, un bateau furtif à 5h du mat qui va s'enfouir sur l'autre rive, sous des arbres. Une heure plus tard, de la fumée en sors. En fait derrière ces arbres une grotte cachée. Ils distillent de l'alcool clandestinement 😜 Rencontrés la veille, à 9h du mat Ruth et ses 2 enfants nous attendent déjà sur la route pour nous montrer le chemin de leur maison. Leurs yeux pétillent, ils reçoivent des blancs, des "Mzungus" comme ils disent. La communauté est bien sûr au courant et d'autres enfants rappliquent très rapidement chez Ruth. Nous avons bien choisi notre jour, c'est dimanche, et la maison de Ruth est un petit peu la plaque tournante des enfants du hameau, leur fief ! 😂 Contrairement à ce que l'on pouvait s'imaginer les enfants sont incroyablement sages, observateurs, curieux et disciplinés. Une constante d'ailleurs déjà remarquée, même chez les adultes qui sont toujours respectueux, courtois, pas du tout envahissants ni par leur attitude, ni par le volume de leurs voix. Le petit déjeuner copieux est partagé (galette chapati, patates douces...) dans une superbe ambiance. Nous sentons tous qu'un départ à l'issue serait un brise coeur pour tout le monde. La joie de tous se lit dans leur visage quand nous leur annonçons que nous pouvons rester la journée et dormir dans le jardin. Nous y resterons finalement 3 nuits. 😍 😂 Au programme, échanges bilatéraux culinaires avec mise en pratique, jeux de carte, visite du voisinage, immersion dans la vie quotidienne d'une famille... Détails de vie à lire sur le site... 3 jours en immersion qui font du bien et qui nous permettent de mieux comprendre ce pays. Nous allons nous diriger vers les contrées des Masaï et nous partons bien armés pour cela grâce aux cadeaux de la voisine Masaï _______________________________________________ A small crater lake that forms the border with Tanzania under the gaze of the imposing Kilimanjaro (Lake Chala -3.3159, 37.71272). A young shepherd, not yet pubescent and in rags, wants to spend the night at the foot of the lorry, a stealthy boat at 5am that goes and buries itself on the other bank, under some trees. An hour later, smoke came out. In fact, behind these trees is a hidden cave. They're distilling alcohol illegally 😜 Met the day before, at 9am Ruth and her 2 children are already waiting for us on the road to show us the way to their house. Their eyes sparkle as they receive white people, "Mzungus" as they say. Of course, the community knows all about it and other children are quick to come to Ruth's house. We've chosen our day well, it's Sunday, and Ruth's house is something of a hub for the children of the hamlet, their stronghold! 😂 Contrary to what you might expect, the children are incredibly well-behaved, observant, curious and disciplined. This is something we've already noticed, even with the adults, who are always respectful, courteous and not at all intrusive, either in their attitude or in the volume of their voices. A hearty breakfast is shared (chapati cake, sweet potatoes...) in a superb atmosphere. We all feel that leaving at the end would be a heartbreaker for everyone. The joy on everyone's faces was clear when we announced that we could stay the day and sleep in the garden. We ended up staying there for 3 nights. 😍 😂 On the programme: bilateral culinary exchanges with practical application, card games, visits to the neighbourhood, immersion in the daily life of a family... We'll be heading for the Masai lands, and we'll be well equipped for that thanks to gifts from our Masai neighbour.
