👉 English text a little further down ____________________________________ Rwanda, notre service de renseignements nous informe très positivement sur le Rwanda : Tu vas voir, c'est radicalement différents des autres pays, c'est une sorte de Suisse Africaine, y'a des vraies routes, des radars partout, pas de vendeurs au bord des routes... Wouah, effectivement ça devrait être un choc en venant du Kenya et de l'Ouganda... Bon nos renseignements nous disent aussi : 👉 un PIB de 7 à 8 % de plus par an depuis le début des années 2000, ce qui le place parmi l'économie la plus dynamique et stable du continent Africain, 👉 un seuil de pauvreté qui passe de 77% en 2001 à 55 % en 2020 - soit plus de de 50 % quand même de pauvres hein ! 👉 un des leaders africains en matière d'égalité des sexes, avec un parlement composé à plus de 60 % de femmes - non-excisées très probablement ! ... mais un pays qui dépend encore un peu de l’aide internationale, le cordon ombilicalo-portomonné n'est pas encore coupé et cela diminue fortement, 50% du budget national après le génocide avant 2000 à 15% en 2022... Le Rwanda c'est un chouia plus petit que la Bretagne alors nous devrions pouvoir en faire le tour, pénétrer ses entrailles et comprendre un peu ce qui se passe ici... En rentrant dans ce pays le 2 janvier, nous ne pensions pas que ce pays aller être un peu le centre d'une actualité internationale un peu houleuse... Au fil des semaines nous allons apprendre à partager la vie des rwandais, à appréhender leur histoire qui rythme encore leur vie de tous les jours, à découvrir ce qui se cache derrière ces 1000 collines... Wow, that should be quite a shock coming from Kenya and Uganda... Well, our information also tells us: 👉 a GDP of 7 to 8% more per year since the early 2000s, making it one of the most dynamic and stable economies on the African continent, 👉 a poverty line that will fall from 77% in 2001 to 55% in 2020 - that's more than 50% of the poor, isn't it! 👉 one of Africa's leaders in terms of gender equality, with a parliament made up of more than 60% women - most likely unspecified!...but a country that is still somewhat dependent on international aid, the umbilical cord has not yet been cut and this is decreasing sharply, from 50% of the national budget after the genocide before 2000 to 15% in 2022... Rwanda is a tad smaller than Brittany, so we should be able to tour it, get to the heart of it and understand a bit of what's going on here... When we returned to the country on 2 January, we had no idea that it was going to be at the centre of some turbulent international news... As the weeks go by, we'll be learning to share in the lives of the Rwandans, to understand their history, which still shapes their daily lives, and to discover what lies behind those 1,000 hills...
