Departamento Bariloche, Argentina - Polarsteps

Our first multiple day trek, including our heavy backpacks! First we hiked from Lago Gutiérrez to refugio Frey. The way was only up but really doable! We were happy to have some shelter in the crowded refugio, since it was a bit rainy and the area was quite exposed. The night was windy, but our tent survived! We left the refugio for another day in the mountains where we hiked a strenuous route to Lago Jakob. Only 10 km of length, but had to go up twice (each around 400m) and down twice through a terrain of mostly ruble. Jakob was more sheltered, but we woke up with snow in the air! Fortunately it got dry the moment we left for a long hike (20km) back to civilization!
