Municipio Colcha K, Bolivia - Polarsteps

Day 3๏ธโƒฃ - The Salt flat Ring ring โฐ At 5.30 it was time to get dressed and get in to the car: sunrise was waiting for us! ๐ŸŒ… Richard drove us to an island in the middle of the salt plain. This place is filled with huge cacti of more than 10 meters๐ŸŒต. They grow a meager 4 cm per year, so do the math: they are old!! From this island we watched sunrise, like all proper gringo's do, and shot some wonderfull pictures. When we came back at the carpark all guides made breakfast for their passengers, what should we do without them ๐Ÿ’•. We already started taking pictures, just to warm-up a bit... But no better way than finding a nice quiet spot in the middle of the salt flat, all for yourself! The guide directly took mats out of the car and laid down to take some professional "perspective pictures". Due to the flatness of the salt flat (only a 1m difference in more than 100km), perspectives warp which makes for great pictures. ๐Ÿ“ธ Ofcourse we ended up doing silly poses instead of the expected artistic masterpieces๐Ÿคก. Thank goodness Richard had a plastic dinosaur with him to remedy this crime against art. ๐Ÿฆ– Maybe we finally have to introduce our car friends after all (also because two of them will end up in more posts): we shared a 7 persons 4x4 with of course Richard the driver ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ด, the couple Tarja ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ & Richard ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช(he said just call me Rich, yet he wasn't paying our bills ๐Ÿฅฒ), the yesterday's b'day girl Gaby ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท and yeah what to say about Daniella... ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฑ The last named person wasn't so keen about sharing this trip with us, she also ended up in none of our pictures. But with the 5 of us we had much fun, we guess the pictures can tell.... ๐Ÿ˜ Before the tour finished, we stopped for some souvenirs and some train-dump place. However, we were already satisfied with today's activities and happy that after lunch we could find a bus to our next destination. ๐Ÿš This trip was amazing and we need some time to progress the magical landscape we traveled through! โœจ
