Final day #8 - Seymour Island
South Pacific Ocean, None - Polarsteps
Sniff sniff, our final day exploring the magnificent Galapagos! 🥲 We do this with a final excursion to spot the nesting place of the Magnificent Frigate birds. To lure a female into their nest, the male frigate bird blows up his red pouch under his throat to show his sexiness. This looks like a red balloon 🎈. We also finally saw its cousin, the Great Frigatebird, which looks exactly the same as the Magnificent.
We also took our time to say goodbye to the blue-footed booby (definitely one of our favourites, search for the chick with the looks of a dodo 🦤), the Darwin finches, gulls and of course the sea lions ðŸ¦.
After a final goodbye of our Beluga-family, we got dropped off at the airport and after a stopover in Guayaquil, we continued to travel to Bogota! New country unlocked! 🔓
