El Pueblito, Colombia - Polarsteps

On to our next bounty-destination: the Rosario Islands. Although they are not as tranquil and paradise-perfect as the San Bernardo Islands, we still had a great time here🤗. Not least of all because this was our final diving destination🤿. We adored the reefs of Colombia and are going to miss the warm waters! The islands themselves were interesting as well. Easily reachable from Cartagena, the coast is crowded with (abandoned) bars and resorts visited by hip Cartagenians🤩. One highlight of this is the abandoned villa of Voldemort (remember? See the Medellin post), with a huge swimming pool and great sunset vistas. The interior of the island is populated by the local populace however and shows a much poorer side of the island. It remains puzzling for us how easily people here accept the huge disparity between the haves and have nots. The interior of the island still proved beautiful though, with swarms of iguanas haunting the trees🦎. We enjoyed the near scalding seawater for the last time before heading back to our final stop of this trip!
