La Serena, Chile - Polarsteps

Back in La Serena🔙. We have one day left to explore the city. It has an interesting garden, designed by the Japanese🇯🇵. Unfortunately the intended air of tranquility is destorted by the surrounding highway. ⛩️ After the park, we found our way to the well-done, free(!) archeological museum. It showed the history of the first settlers in this area. Yet, the central piece is a huge Moai statue🗿 (I'm so happy I can use this emoticon!!! 🤩). The Easter Island statue was "donated" to La Serena. Our last stop before we step into the night bus is at a Thai restaurant. We cannot not express how happy we are to finally taste some Asian flavours again! Jum 😋
