Cant贸n Santa Cruz, Ecuador - Polarsteps

After our first rocky night at sea, it's time to conquer the Chinese hat. It's an uninhabited island in the shape of -right- a Chinese hat. While no humans call this place home, it is home to the Darwin finches, lizards and mocking birds. At least, that's what we saw. But more of all, we experienced our first landing and the amazing volcano landscape the Galapagos had to offer! Even more special was our turn to explore the underwater world and spot all the colourful fishes and the sea turtles in their natural habitat. 馃た馃悹 After a siesta break, the ship navigated to Rabida island. A snorkel session was the first thing on the schedule馃た. And wow, how amazing to see a white-tipped reef shark in the water! (Pictures included!馃). And even a sea lion came to say hello! On land we viewed the American flamingo keeping itself busy eating enough shrimp to keep their pinky colours! 馃Ι
