Description: We ventured deep into Park Sangay. It is a vast diversity of environments spanning nearly 2,000 square miles. There are 317 lakes, glaciers, volcanoes, rainforests and 3000 flowering plants. On our way to one of the larger Lakes we encountered some sparse Indian settlements. Lost in this vast nowhere we took on two hitchhikers into civilization an Indian mother and her 4 year old child.
