Oppedette, France - Polarsteps

We stay at an organic garden isolated high on a mountain top beside an old church. The group has three rooms to rent, a place to buy fresh herbs and flowering plants, a small shop full of scented products especially lavender, and an organic restaurant using local farm products including their own. We have our breakfast in the garden. We stumble upon women stretching during their morning yoga on the large stone slabs of the church. In this way it is modernized, gentle spiritual place sprouting on top of an ancient pre- Christian shelter with a pagan fertility circle. So much in the place resonates for the new age organic tribe that live there now.
