Why did Polarsteps launch Polarsteps Plus?

We launched Polarsteps Plus to offer additional premium travel features for travelers who want more from their trips, while keeping everything you know and love about Polarsteps free for everyone. Travelers can still plan, track, share and relive their adventures for free, and friends and family can continue following trips at no cost. Plus memberships help us to build more advanced features that dedicated travelers are asking for, as well as allowing us to stay ad-free and grow our business. Will Polarsteps still be free?

Yes. Everything you’ve come to know and love about Polarsteps stays free to use. You can still plan, track, share and relive your trips without paying, and your friends and family can still follow along for free. Polarsteps Plus offers features for travelers who want extra tools and insights, things that have never been part of the Polarsteps experience before.
What is the difference between the Polarsteps Plus monthly and Polarsteps Plus yearly subscriptions?

Polarsteps Plus monthly costs €8.99* per month and includes all Polarsteps Plus features, such as 3D maps, step stats, 3D play, new map styles, and more Travel Buddies, but no Travel Books discount. Polarsteps Plus yearly costs €29.99* per year and includes all the same Plus features, as well as an extra benefit: 20% off Travel Books for as long as you’re a yearly Plus member (this can’t be combined with other promotions).

Can I switch between Polarsteps Plus monthly and Polarsteps Plus yearly subscriptions?

Yes. You can request to switch between monthly and yearly subscriptions at any time through your app store subscription settings or through the Plus section in the settings menu of the Polarsteps app, though a change to monthly from yearly will only take place at the end of your current billing period.
How does the Polarsteps Plus Travel Book discount work?

If you’re a Polarsteps Plus yearly member, your 20% Travel Book discount is automatically applied during checkout. There’s no code needed. The discount is only available while your yearly Plus subscription is active and cannot be combined with other discount codes.
Can I get a free trial of Polarsteps Plus?

No, Polarsteps Plus does not offer a free trial at this time. You can choose between a monthly or yearly subscription and cancel anytime through your app store subscription settings or through the Plus section in the settings menu of the Polarsteps app.
How do I cancel my Polarsteps Plus subscription?

You can cancel your Polarsteps Plus subscription at any time through your app store subscription settings or through the Plus section in the settings menu of the Polarsteps app. Your Plus features will remain available until the end of your current billing period. If you cancel your subscription, fees for the remainder of your current billing cycle are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
Will Polarsteps add more features to Plus?
